I am a nature lover. Since I live and work in the city, I seldom have time to go to the province and enjoy nature's best -- the scenic greens, the beach, the fresh air. One of the most memorable experiences I had was during our trip to San Juan, Batangas five years ago.
After dinner, I was lying at a hammock by the beachfront in San Juan, Batangas at around 8 p.m. -- I could feel the gentle wind touching my face, the cold and fresh air breeze, and the sound of the sea waves as touches the shore. It was very, very relaxing, I wouldn't want to get up and sleep inside the cottage!
Luckily for me, though I do not live by the beach or anywhere near it, I can still savor nature's wonder right in the heart of my city. This time, I take a leisurely stroll by the Marikina River then take a rest at the benches built along the riverbanks.

Notice the lovers under the tree. That's where I usually take rest after walking and taking photos for my blog.
Photo below shows one of the many cyclists along the riverbank.

Trivia: The Marikina river used to be polluted. During the 80s, the riverbanks were inhabited by squatters who throw their wasters at the river. In the early 90s, the elected mayor relocated the illegal residents and demolished the shanties to pave way for the rehabilitation of the river. Now, the Marikina River is one of the city's main tourist attractions especially during the Christmas season.
